Cinnamon Cassia essential oil derived from the bark of Cinnamomum cassia, Chinese cinnamon. Cinnamomum cassia, also known as Chinese cinnamon or Chinese cassia, is an evergreen tree and smells spicy, sweet, woodsy and earthy.
Cassia essential oil is used for colds, rheumatism, kidney and reproductive complaints. It is also used to assist in dispelling depression, apathy and exhaustion. It is used since the primeval times for treating a wide range of skin problems including acne, pimples, blackheads, ringworm, athlete’s foot, itching, wounds and other skin infections.
* Cassia essential oil should be diluted with a carrier oil for topical use and can be very strong when inhaled directly.
Both Cassia oil and Cinnamon Oil have very similar chemical composition. The oils have a spicy and warm aroma but Cinnamon bark oil has a stronger aroma than the scent of the Cassia. Both oils can be used as an antibacterial and antifungal agent.
